STEL designers knew the Moby Roll needed to be efficient to compete with conventional modes of transportation but inconspicuous to accompany riders throughout their travels. Appealing to the modern-age commuter and lifestyle adventurer, a variety of conceptual models were sketched and further refined to serve as a foundation for future development. Engineering mechanics were then considered for unique features, construction, and usability.
